Conversation between William Kentridge and Suzanne Cotter (E): Date to be announced on mudam.com

12.02.2021 / 18:00 : Vernissage

More Sweetly Play the Dance is the first exhibition in Luxembourg of the renowned artist William Kentridge. Conceived for Mudam, the exhibition revolves around Kentridge’s new work for the stage, Waiting for the Sibyl (2019), and also features his most recent film from the Drawings for Projection series, City Deep (2020), as well as the immersive multichannel projection More Sweetly Play the Dance (2015), the monumental sound installation Almost Don’t Tremble (2019), and a constellation of new drawings, works on paper and sculptures that reveal Kentridge’s expansive oeuvre.

The art of William Kentridge is characterised by its narratives connected to history, memory and the passage of time, which he addresses through the lens of his native South Africa, and how we make sense of the world, through images, sound and language.
